Property Address:  12 S. Kihei Road, Kihei.

Property Location:  Maalaea Surf Resort fronts directly to Sugar Beach.  This is the north end of the Kihei area.  When looking at a map of the island, Maalaea Surf sits directly in the "bay like" area in the middle of the south shore.  This location is excellent for quick access in a variety of directions - 12-15 minutes to cross the island to the North Shore and Kahului, 20-25 minutes to get to Lahaina, or 10-15 minutes down into Wailea.  NOTE:  Do not confuse the name of the resort with location.  Maalaea Surf Resort is NOT located in the village of Maalaea, but is at the north end of Kihei.

Beach Quality:  Excellent - Sitting directly on Sugar Beach (see photos below),  you can enjoy 3.5 miles of sand at your doorstep.  Sugar Beach stretches from the north end of Kihei, all the way to the village of Maalaea.  Enjoy a long walk or run, passing only a couple of buildings on your way.

Property Description and Amenities:   Unlike some properties that have oceanfront units hundreds of feet from the sand, at Maalaea Surf, the oceanfront units are truly OCEANFRONT.  They sit right on the edge of the beach, so close that you can almost jump from your patio/lanai onto the sand.  The grounds are well landscaped with a variety of tropical trees, shrubs and flowers.  The property was built with parking on the road side across the back of the grounds, and all units facing towards the beach.  When picturing the property, imagine a large figure three, with the open side of the three being the ocean (see aerial photo below).  This unique layout gives every unit a view!  Although Maalaea Surf is one of the smaller condo properties, it still features TWO swimming pools, two sheltered tennis courts, and BBQ areas.  Laundry is located in each building.

Unit Description and Amenities:  Every unit has the following amenities:
            - in room safe
            - full kitchen, including D/W, microwave
            - central A/C and ceiling fans
            - cable television with VCR
            - telephone
            - large front patio or lanai
            - DAILY MAID SERVICE
            - oceanview

NOTE:  Two bedroom units on the second floor are two stories, with the second bedroom being loft-style above the living area.
ALL one bedroom units are on the ground level.
 

Our Opinion:  This is as nice as Kihei gets!  A great, central location, with spacious grounds, lowrise buildings, and lovely landscaping.  This property is sure to please everyone. A Wailea style property and units, at half the price!!!
