Property Location: Maui Kamaole sits on a little hill across the street from the ocean towards the south (Wailea) end of Kihei.  The beach park of Kamaole III is on the ocean side, and is excellent for swimming, snorkeling, and general beach play.

Beach Quality:  Excellent - we have included some photos below of Kamaole III (located across the street). Kamaole III has plenty of trees for shade, a huge grassy area, and a golden sand beach.  There are a few rock outcroppings, which attract fish for snorkeling.  If you're looking for a long walk, walk five minutes down Kihei Road, hop onto Keawekapu Beach, and walk the beaches all the way through  Wailea.

Property Description and Amenities:  The units at the front have good ocean views, as there are no buildings on the ocean side of the street.  This is the newest condo property in the Kihei/Wailea area, low-rise, with lovely grounds and tasteful units.  Grounds are  landscaped with a delightful variety of tropical plants, flowers and shrubs and include two pools, hot-tub, and gas BBQ areas.  Sitting on 23.5 acres, it is elevated above Kihei Road, giving it a wonderful view across Kamaole Beach III to the ocean.  The buildings were constructed in clusters, with an average of 8 to 12 units per building.  The buildings are low rise (only two stories), with the modern appearance of townhomes, rather than apartments. The large beach park of Kamaole III is across the street, with plenty of trees for shade, a huge grassy area, and a golden sand beach.  There are a few rock outcroppings, which attract fish for snorkeling.  If you're looking for a long walk, walk five minutes down Kihei Road, hop onto Keawekapu Beach, and walk the beaches all the way through  Wailea.

The grounds feature two swimming pools, two hot-tubs, two tennis courts, and several BBQ areas.

Unit Description and Amenities: The units at Maui Kamaole are much larger than most vacation rental units.  The one bedroom units average 1000 square feet,and are all on ground level.  Each one bedroom unit has two full bathrooms.
The two bedroom units average 1200 square feet, and are on the second level, with the living space opening to a large deck.  Each two bedroom unit has one bedroom upstairs (above the living area), and the second bedroom set to the back of the unit.
All units feature fully equipped kitchens (fridge, stove, dishwasher, microwave), cable TV, VCR, telephone, A/C, ceiling fans and in-suite laundry.

Our Opinion:  We love this property.  We feel that it is one of the very nicest properties in Kihei, and represents a tremendous value. Units are much larger than most condos, and decorating is modern.  This property is definitely above the average quality of the Kihei area.  This is a great choice is space and quality of unit is a concern, but the budget won't stretch to the Wailea level.  Location is excellent!
